Run from the Gladstone CBD to the marina, through East Shores and around Auckland Hill on a two-lap course.
RACE OVERVIEW
Take on 21.1 km through the heart of Gladstone, with a two-lap course linking city streets, waterfront stretches and harbour views. Whether you’re stepping up to your first half marathon or chasing your next goal, this is the event’s longest-distance challenge.
Starting in the Gladstone CBD, runners head towards the marina along Bryan Jordan Drive before returning through East Shores. The course continues around Auckland Hill and the William Golding Memorial Lookout, bringing together some of Gladstone’s most recognisable landmarks.
The second lap takes runners back through the city and waterfront precincts before the finish in the CBD. On-course support and the shared Run Gladstone finish-line atmosphere carry the experience through to the end, where every finisher receives a medal.

COURSE EXPERIENCE
GLADSTONE CBD
Start in the heart of the city and follow the CBD streets towards the waterfront.
GLADSTONE MARINA
Head to the Gladstone Marina along Bryan Jordan Drive, passing CQUniversity with views across the harbour.
EAST SHORES & AUCKLAND HILL
Return through East Shores before continuing around Auckland Hill and the William Golding Memorial Lookout.
SECOND LAP
Begin the second lap, linking the city, waterfront and harbour precincts before finishing in the CBD.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
BIB & TIMING
Race bib and electronic timing for your 21.1 KM result. Register by midnight on 6 September 2027 (AEST) to have your name printed on your bib.
COURSE SUPPORT
Hydration and event support positioned across the route.
EVENT T-SHIRT
The first 2,000 registered participants receive an official Run Gladstone event T-shirt, subject to size availability.
FINISHER MEDAL
Every participant who finishes the Half Marathon receives an official Run Gladstone finisher medal.

CATEGORY WINNER MEDALS
The first male and female finisher in each Half Marathon age group receives a Category Winner Medal. Categories are U21, 21–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69 and 70+.

No prams, bikes, scooters, handcycles or crank cycles are permitted on course.
